Step by Step Instructions:

Setting Up Alarm Input:

  1. Access Alarm Settings:

    • From the main menu, navigate to "Alarm" and then select "Alarm Input." For this example, we are using the NVR 72 series.
  2. Select Alarm Input Number:

    • Choose the alarm input number corresponding to the alarm port on the back of your recorder.
  3. Enable Alarm Input:

    • Click "Enable" to activate the selected alarm input.
  4. Name the Alarm:

    • Enter a name for the alarm; by default, it is set to "AlarmIn#."
  5. Schedule Alarm Activation:

    • Use the "Period" setting to schedule when the alarm should be enabled.
  6. Trigger Alarm Output:

    • Configure the alarm input to trigger the recorder's alarm output.
  7. Select Recording Channel:

    • Choose which channel you want the recorder to start recording from when the alarm is triggered.
  8. PTZ Actions:

    • Optionally, set basic PTZ actions such as Preset, Tour, or Pattern to be activated upon alarm triggering.

  1. Access Storage Schedule:

    • From the main menu, click on "Management" > "Storage" > "Schedule."
  2. Select the Channel:

    • Choose the channel for which you want to set up the alarm recording schedule.
  3. Enable Alarm Recording:

    • Click on "Setting" next to the timeline bar to enable alarm recording.
  4. Set Duration and Type:

    • Set the duration for the alarm recording (default is 24 hours, 00-24).
    • Select "Alarm" as the type of recording trigger.
  5. Copy Schedule to All Days:

    • You can select "All days" to apply the same schedule to every day of the week and then click "Save."
  6. Save the Schedule:

    • Click "Save" to store the settings for the alarm recording schedule.
